Queen Victoria’s wedding ring was in the form of snake symbolizing everlasting love. Others have given it the meaning of eternity or wisdom. Initially popular in the 1840’s serpent jewelry has withstood the test of timeand is ever popular today. This silver plate repousse serpent double strand bracelet is a period piece from the 1930’s that is astonishingly alluring filled with mystic. The repousse work on the heads is elaborate and distinct and the double chain is cut out and pierced emulating the serpents skin. The clasp hinges onto the circular ring below the heads of the snake. The length of the heads up to the circle is 1 ¾” so these dangle from the wrist creating an unbeatable fashion statement. The bracelet measures 7” long and is almost ¼” wide. The 7” measurement is from the circle to the clasp. It is in excellent vintage condition and guaranteed to be of the era.
