You can never get enough of Miriam Haskell and her striking designs of cascading art glass beadswhether they be glass, resin, wood or pearls. This particular bountiful beauty was designed by Frank Hess and made during the 1930’s.
Frank Hess was one of the most renowned designers for Miriam Haskell and his style is distinctive and recognized, just as is this lavish piece of art. The pin is loaded with ¼” amber beads clustered on top and larger ½” beads enclosed in the black resin discs.
The top beads are wired on to a panel then enclosed with a metal back that covers the wiring. The top is connected by brass chains that is cleverly arranged providing a luxuriant cascading effect from which amber beads are selectively added to the inner circle.
The pin dangles 3 1/2” long and 2 1/8” wide with the amber beads mounded 5/8” over the backing. It is in excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks and guaranteed to be vintage Miriam Haskell.
