You can never get enough of Miriam Haskell and her striking designs of cascading art glass beadswhether they be glass, resin, wood or pearls. This particular bountiful beauty was designed by Frank Hess and made during the WWII era.
Frank Hess was one of the most renowned designers for Miriam Haskell and his style is distinctive and recognized, just as is this lavish piece of art. The pin is loaded with turquoise long swirls and round glass beads clustered and wired onto a backing. The Russian brass textured leaves on the top create a beautiful contrast with the turquoise.
There are three different styles of beads on the pin, the swirls, medium blue and small rounds, which creates dynamic texture and presence.
Unfortunately, the backing on the pin is missing so this is another wonderful find in the Treasure Chest.
The pin dangles 3 1/4” long and is 1 1/2” wide. It is in very good vintage condition with no chips or cracks, albeit with the missing back, and guaranteed to be vintage Miriam Haskell.
