Elegant exclusiveness comes to mind when I gaze at this extraordinary brass and tri-color oval cabochon pin. Straight from the 1930’s this is remarkably signed MONET, although when I initially saw this, I thought it was probably French or German in origin.
The bold beautiful cabochons are gem colored sapphires, rubies and emeralds that are so vibrant they pulsate with power and intensity. The bracelet has a geometric flair that has hints of Deco and modernization.
The bezel set chic cabochons alternate in direction and provide real eye-appeal. And the brass links have a warm unpolished patina that simply adds to the intense luster of the piece.
The early jewelry on Monet is very difficult to find and are the most significant of their designs.
The pin measures 3” wide by 1 3/8” tall and signed Monet on the back. It is in excellent vintage condition with a tad of normal metal oxidation on the back and guaranteed authentic vintage, Monet
