Exceptional is the word that was created for this ultra-chic and incredibly memorable modernist charm bracelet. The design of each of the charms are incomparable and unforgettable and is a fine combination of modernist drama and simplicity.
The blue and tortoise enamel fish charm is a stylized puffer fish and is hollow on the inside with a sterling open back. The next charm is modernist person playing a musical instrument. The apple is of course the “Big Apple” from the Museum of Fine Art in NYC. It is marked MFA NY86 Sterling. There is a cobalt blue St Christopher medal that is from Italy and marked 800 silver. The modernist face is I think the most unique. One side shows the person with a smile on his face while the other side shows the smile in a downward position. It is signed by the maker, K.
These charms are an unparalleled showing of design, material and grace and are truly sculptured. They are simplistically modern, yet graceful in motion.
All charms and double link bracelet are either marked sterling, with one being 800.
The bracelet is 7 1/4” long, and the longest charm is the face at 2 1/4” long weighing 3.3 ounces. It is in excellent vintage condition with a warm, unpolished patina and guaranteed of the period.
